The Name Above The Door…

Simon Pickard, Account DirectorToday marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.

Today is the first day of our (now ex) Managing Director, Paul Pitman’s retirement.

Stepping in to those shoes is our co-founder, Simon Pickard, as Paul put it best – The name above the door.

Below is a letter from Simon that was sent to our clients and suppliers.

The Managing Director’s Letter

What’s in a name?

Since founding Collier Pickard way back in 2004, Mike Collier and I have been at the forefront of the CRM revolution in the UK. Throughout the last 18 years my name has been a part of our identity. We built the business by listening to our clients and bringing them the very best CRM products, technical skills and independent consultancy.

So now, with Paul’s retirement, the name above the door – my name – is the name of the Managing Director.

From the 1st of July I will be here to ensure that we continue to deliver for our clients and partners. I will be the place where the buck stops!

While for some this would be a daunting step, I have had 18 years of working with our chairman Mike Collier, and the last 4 working with Paul Pitman as he restructured the business and prepared us for the future.

His rationalisation of the products we take to market has sharpened our focus. Together we invested in strengthening our delivery capability with our acquisition of the assets of Agovo, to create the UK’s leading Creatio partner. So now we are ready to do even more to delight our clients.

How?

  • Retaining and acquiring happy clients – even if it means telling hard truths
  • Being Agile; growing our people and creating a scalable model for the business
  • Providing not only CRM Consultancy but also Maximizer, Creatio and Infor as CRM software for a wide range of clients – both in scale and requirements

So let me close by thanking you for your support in the past and looking forward to the future.

Oh – and if anyone asks – you can tell them you know the boss personally!
