Mobility and Mobile CRM
Mobility has long been a feature of sales, marketing and customer service roles. Various approaches to mobile technology have been tried over the years, many falling by the wayside due to deficiencies in underlying communications capabilities.
 
Today, however, broadband and wireless technologies deliver the infrastructure needed to make "mobile CRM" a reality. Additionally, developments in the smart phone market mean that mobility is not limited to wireless connection from your laptop or notebook - it now includes smart phones, BlackBerry and iPhone. These devices offer the option to either make a web connection to your CRM platform or, indeed, run the CRM application directly on the hand-held device.
